What is it: Ultrasonic Cavitation uses the latest technology in ultrasound along with a process called Cavitation to effectively reduce stubborn fatty deposits and cellulite in localised areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. This is not a treatment for obesity nor is it a weight loss procedure but rather a method for shaping and toning the body. The ultrasonic cavitation process results in the breakdown of the fat cell wall allowing the fatty substance inside to be released and transported via the lymphatic and vascular systems to the liver for further processing.
Is it Safe: Yes it is safe, non-invasive procedure with virtually no side effects and no recovery period. The ultrasound energy is delivered by a handheld device and targets only the fatty tissue beneath the skin and does not affect blood vessels, nerves or connective tissues.
What Areas Can be Treated:Abdomen, Hips, Inner and Outer Thighs, Buttocks, Upper Arms, Inside Knees and Back Fat.
How many Treatments are required: On average after one treatment you will experience a decrease in circumference size in the treatment area of up to 3cm, with more significant results obtained with a course of treatments. A course of treatments can be from 5-10 treatments per area spaced one week apart, with each treatment session lasting from 20-30 minutes. On average good results start to be seen after 3-4 treatments. Excellent long term results are achievable when coupled with a change in lifestyle and eating habits. Is it Suitable for Everyone: There are some circumstances when ultrasonic cavitation is not recommended. The treatment is not suitable for women during pregnancy and lactation, for people who have a medical history of liver / kidney disorders or failure, heart disease, lymphatic disorders, thrombosis, medical transplant patients, epilepsy, anyone with a serious illness or persons taking lipid lowering drugs or anti-coagulant medication. Individuals with electronic implants (Pace-maker) are not suitable for this treatment. Ultrasonic cavitation treatments cannot be performed over any metallic prosthesis, protruding varicose veins or hormone implant.
Treatment Guidelines: It is advisable to drink plenty of water pre and post treatment to facilitate the elimination of fat and toxins. We recommend 1 – 2 litres per day for 3 days either side of your treatment. We recommend that you do not eat one hour before or after your treatment. To speed up results it is strongly recommended that you maintain a low carbohydrate (including alcohol) / low calorie diet for a few days after the treatment to ensure fat is utilised and metabolised by the body; this normally takes 72 hours after each session. Light to moderate exercise for approximately 30 minutes is recommended for 3 days following the treatment.
What will I Experience During the Treatment:During the ultrasonic cavitation treatment you will hear a whistle-like tic in the ears which is entirely harmless. Some individuals may feel small prickles of heat, and it is also normal for some areas of redness to occur which dissipate quickly after the treatment. Following the ultrasonic cavitation treatment you will receive a lymphatic drainage treatment to stimulate elimination processes using our vacuum handpiece.
